Baker, Anna

 

Anna Baker, age 93 of White Cloud, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont.  Anna was born on August 27, 1914 in Thomaston, Connecticut to Walter and Pauline (Balogalbick) Myk.  She met and later married Ray Glen Baker on May 19, 1934 in Chesaning, Michigan and together they moved to the Goodwell Township area in 1945 from Saginaw and in 1968 moved to the Robinson Lake area.  Anna enjoyed cooking for her family, crocheting and started the day listening to polka music. 

 

Anna is survived by her daughter, Glenda (Wilbur) Tanis of Newaygo; her grandchildren, Robin Tonkin of Grand Rapids; Michael (Julie) Jones of Fremont; Terri Tonkin of Fremont; 5 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Glen in 1992 and by her daughter Evelyn Baker Hull.

 

Private memorial services will be held following cremation.  Friends may consider the American Cancer Society for memorial contributions in memory of Anna.  Friends may also send a condolence or share a memory with the Baker family online at www.crandellfh.com.  Arrangements by Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel.
