Borkowski, Mathew L.

Mathew L. Borkowski, age 65 of White Cloud, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in North Muskegon following a long and lingering illness.  Mathew was born on December 14, 1943 in White Cloud to John T. and Harriet M. (Dudeck) Borkowski and has been a lifelong resident of the White Cloud area.  Mathew had worked as a production worker at Westfield Somers in Fremont for several years until his retirement.  Mathew enjoyed working in the yard and mowing the law, gardening, splitting wood and driving the tractor at his home.  He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in White Cloud.

Mathew is survived by his sisters and brothers, Eddie Borkowski of Muskegon; Ginny (Al) Tennant of Holland; Fred (Ferol) Borkowski of White Cloud; Bernice (Maihie) McFergy of Santa Barbara, California; Caroline (Harvey) Cruzan of Blythewood, South Carolina; Wally Borkowski of White Cloud; Peggy Borkowski of White Cloud; sisters-in-laws, Emily Borkowski of Muskegon; Kathy Borkowski of Cedar Springs; brother-in-law, Norm Clary of White Cloud; many nieces and nephews.  Mathew was preceded in death by his sisters, Irene Clary; Doris Borkowski; and by his brother, John Borkowski. 

VISITATION : Sunday, 6-8pm at Crandell Funeral Home – White Cloud Chapel.   ROSARY SERVICES : Sunday at 7:30pm at the Crandell Funeral Home.  MASS OF RESURRECTION : Monday at 11am at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in White Cloud.  INTERMENT : St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.  MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : American Cancer Society.  Friends may send a condolence or share a memory with the Borkowski Family online at www.crandellfh.com.
