Julia (Schaub) Champion, age 85, passed away at home. She was born on February 16, 1922, in Decorah, Iowa, to William and Marcella (Zoldak) Moon. She married Edmond Joseph Schaub on June 17, 1943, and later married Ronald Champion on June 9, 1978. Julia retired from Gerber Products Company in 1984 and was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in White Cloud.
Julia is survived by her children, Dorothy (Henry) LaBelle of Howard City, Elsie (Michael) Kymes of White Cloud, Edward Schaub of Belen, New Mexico, Carol (Wayne) Peterson of White Cloud, Annette (David) Crisler of Fremont; 17 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; brother, Lloyd (Beverly) Moon of Hesperia; sister, Margaret Kaley of Florida; sisters-in-law, Barbara Moon and Loretta Moon. She was preceded in death by Edmond Schaub in 1972, Roland Champion in 2000; 3 sons, Ralph, Arnold, and Paul; brothers, William, John, Tony, and Joe Moon; sisters, Lucille Dickinson, and Mary Williams.
Visitation will be on Thursday, December 6, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Crandell Funeral Home in White Cloud with Rosary service at 7:30 that evening. Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. from the St. Joseph Catholic Church in White Cloud. Interment will be in Sherman Township Cemetery. For a more lasting memorial, friends are asked to consider the St Joseph Catholic Church Building Fund. Friends may share memories and condolences with the family at www.crandellfh.com. We just wanted you to know how very sorry we are, and that our many thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time! Annette even though it’s the hardest of times right now, at least you all can take comfort in knowing that your mom is not hurting anymore, and is free from pain!
Even though were in Arizona, please if you need anything at all please give us a call, we always have a ear to listen and comforting words to encourage one another!!
