DeVore, Linda Sue

 

Linda Sue DeVore, age 65 of White Cloud, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 19, 2009 at her home.  Linda was born on December 16, 1943 in White Cloud to Nelson and Nora (Sutherland) Flinton.  Linda has been a lifelong resident of the area where she was a homemaker.  Linda married Gordon G. DeVore on December 31, 1971 in Hesperia and he preceded her in death on May 21, 2005.  Linda loved listening to bluegrass music and attended various bluegrass festivals in the area.  She also enjoyed watching the wildlife at her home and quilting. 

 

Linda is survived by her significant other, Jim Fowler of White Cloud; her sons, Nelson “Pete” (Tracy) Jordan of Fremont; George Jon (Bobbie) Jordan of Union City, Michigan; Richard (Shirley) Jordan of Jackson; Robert (Raegan) Jordan of Hacketts Town, New Jersey; Dennis (Norma) DeVore of Casnovia; Douglas (Deb) DeVore of Greenville; David DeVore of White Cloud; Daryl DeVore of Grand Rapids; Dana DeVore of Grand Rapids; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.  Linda was preceded in death by her grandson, Thomas J. Hawley on July 22, 2009; by her sisters, June Longcore and Shirley Flinton and by her brother, Nelson “Jack” Flinton.

 

VISITATION : Friday, October 23, 2009 from 6-8pm at Crandell Funeral Home – White Cloud Chapel.  GRAVESIDE SERVICES : Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at 4pm at the White Cloud Cemetery.  MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : to the Linda DeVore family to assist with expenses.  Friends may send a condolence or share a memory with the DeVore family online at www.crandellfh.com

 I am so sorry that I can not be there for you all !! It's hard to believe that Aunt Linda is gone! But she has gone to heaven to be with my mom ,and the rest of the Family!! This is a sad time for everyone,but remember  the good life that she had and all the love that she gave ! We all have to remember the good times!! Like the last picture with my Mom,Aunt Shirley, Aunt Linda, Uncle Jack, Grandma at the Family Reunion that we had for your Information that was taken either 1977 or 1978 just before my mom pasted away! Aunt Linda was the last of our Grandparent's kids it is just us kid's and our Families now we have to stick together!! I Love you guy's my Thought's and Prayer's are with you all!!
