Goyings, Verna Marie
Verna Marie Goyings, age 69 of White Cloud, passed away Sunday, May 15, 1994 at the Mercy Hospital in Muskegon. She was born on October 22, 1924 in Wilcox Township to Harry and Hazel (Redman) Paulsen Sr. and married Kenneth E. Goyings on October 25, 1941 in White Cloud. She has been a lifelong resident of the White Cloud area where she was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in White Cloud and had worked as a secretary for many years at Deur's Tire Barn in White Cloud.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth of White Cloud; 1 daughter, Mrs. Paul (Katherine) VanderMey of White Cloud; 1 son, Jim (Sue) Goyings of White Cloud; 4 grandchildren, Kenneth VanderMey; Mrs. Tony (Tina) Dekivit; Melinda Goyings; Jeff Goyings; 2 sisters, Mrs. Paul (Eleanor) Town of Lamont; Mrs. Donald (Lillian) Brondyke of Muskegon; 2 brothers, Harry (Donna) Paulsen of White Cloud; Erwin (Mable) Paulsen of Cedar Springs.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 18, 1994 at 1:00pm from the Christ Lutheran Church in White Cloud with Rev. James C. Walter officiating with interment in the White Cloud Cemetery. Friends are asked to consider the Christ Lutheran Church for a lasting memorial. Envelopes are available at the Crandell Funeral Home in White Cloud.
