We are aware of your loss and know that no words we can say right now will make you feel better.  We want you to know that we are here for you if you need us.  I've been there. Your memories will sustain you. I know.  I saved the funeral pictures, made them into a montage and look at them every day.  My daughter spent hours going through the albums and created a photo biography.  It's a memoir that hangs on my wall.

Dear Francie and Family,

It is with regret and sorrow that I read of Buddy's passing.  He was one of the most colorful and memorable of my cousins.  His great sense of fun and sharp sense of humor are unforgettable.  When I lived down the street from Uncle Tom and Aunt Marge in Detroit, I loved seeing his police cruiser parked by their house--I knew something funny was afoot.  I guess he scared the wits out of them when he pulled up and went into their house with his revolver drawn in mock emergency.  At least that's the way I heard it.  It was a wonderful get together we had several years ago at Michael Mageau's home in Indian Village and the last time I saw you both.

I also can't tell you how much his family history has been appreciated by all of us.  I have copied it and passed it on to my children with the story of their heritage.  When I told my 90 year old mom, his Aunt Miriam, of Buddy's death, she shook her head in disbelief that she outlived another family member.

My family sends our sincere condolences and our prayers that he rest in peace with all those other Lingemans up there.  I'm sure they're having a blast!

Love,

Barbara Lingeman Lepri
