
Mr. Orrin (Bode) Charles Miner, age 75 of Fremont, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 1989 at the Mercy Hospital in Muskegon. He was born on March 26, 1913 to Charles and Agnes Miner in Grand Rapids, Michigan and married Mary M. McDonald on July 19, 1939 in Holly, Michigan. He was a resident of the area for the past 60 years and attended Michigan State University. He was also a life member of the Pilgrim Lodge #180 F. & A.M; Past Worthy Patron of Magnolia Chapter #70, Order of Eastern Star; attended the Fremont United Methodist Church and was a veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Mary of Fremont; 2 sons, Thomas (Carlin) Miner of Layton, Utah; James (Chris) Miner of Whitehall, Mi; 2 daughters, Mrs. Ron (Sharon) Pickering of Hudson, Mi; Mrs. George (Kathy) Powell of Fremont; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Mrs. John (Norma) Fuhrmann of Harlingen, Texas.
Memorial services were held on Wednesday, February 8, 1989 at the Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont with the Rev. A. Edward Perkins officiating. Friends are asked to consider the Mercy Hospital Critical Care Unit for a more lasting memorial.
