Opal, Frank L.

 

Frank L. Opal, age 80 of White Cloud, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2008 at the Transitional Health Services in Fremont.  Frank was born on April 15, 1927 in Hamtramck, Michigan to Frank George and Augusta (Locke) Opelwski.  Frank has been a longtime resident of the White Cloud area where he had been a home repairman for the Newaygo County Commission on Aging.  Frank found great joy in helping others in the community.  Frank also served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II.

 

He is survived by his daughters, Linda A. Opal of Canton, Michigan; Donna M. (Charles) White of Greenback, Tennessee; Maria R. (Jim) Hastie of Knoxville, Tennessee; 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by all his 8 brothers and sisters.

Linda,Donna and Maria- I'm so sorry to here of the passing of your father. I will always remember the great times we
                                   had as kids growing up when your dad worked at Big Bend Park with my dad.These are the

                                   times I will always hold close to my heart. Please let me know a date if there will be a service.

                                   I know there's a place with the Lord for a Wolverine like your dad!!

        I am so sorry to hear  of your fathers passing.   I think a lot of you and Jim.  Let me know if there is anything I can do to help you both in your time of need.  Again,  I'm sorry.      I'll keep you and your sisters in my prayers.

I work at Rudert Insurance in White Cloud and have taken care of your father's account for years.  Frank was one of my favorite customers and I am truly sorry to hear of his passing.  He had so many stories, I could have listened to him talk for hours.  I will miss him.
