Rose, Mary Jane
Mary Jane Rose, age 86, of Fremont passed away at home on Tuesday, April 29, 2008. She was born on March 21, 1922, in Burlington, Iowa, to Clarence and Ruth (Hertel) Hartman. She married Max Eugene Rose on April 19, 1945 in Kansas and was a member of the Red Hat Society, Women of the Moose, and volunteered at the Dogwood Center. Mary was a local Stanley products dealer for over 50 years, attended the FUMC Single’s Club, and was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Fremont.
Mary is survived by her children, Gary (Deborah) Rose of Whitehall, Larry (Shirley) Rose of Fremont, Jerry (Rev. Lucille) Rose of Fremont, Debra (Dennis) McClure of Grant, and Cynthia (Bruce) Vickers of Georgia; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and brother, Robert P. (Audrey) Hartman of Syracuse, New York; nephews, William (Karen) Hartman, Thomas (Leslie) Hartman, Robert S. Hartman, and James (Eleanor) Hartman. She was preceded in death by her husband Max in 1977.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2008, from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm at the Crandell Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 11 am from the All Saints Catholic Church in Fremont. Interment is in Maple Grove Cemetery. For a more lasting memorial, friends are asked to consider St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the All Saints Catholic Church.
