Scheer, Lois R. (Recknagel)
Lois R. (Recknagel) Scheer, age 84 of Fremont, entered Heaven and the loving embrace of her Lord on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at Mercy Hospital in Muskegon. She was happily reunited with her soul mate and husband of 57 years, Rev. William R. Scheer. Lois was born on August 1, 1925 in Conklin to Arnold and Marie (Ulmer) Recknagel and graduated from Muskegon High School in January 1943. Lois married Rev. William Scheer on August 14, 1943 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on February 25, 2001. Lois spent her lifetime as the other half of Bill’s ministry, encouraging others and offering unconditional love. She touched everyone she met with her testimony of God’s faithfulness. Lois was a devoted mother and grandmother. Lois enjoyed traveling abroad and visiting her family and friends. Lois will be sorely missed here on earth until we are someday reunited in Heaven.
Lois and Bill were blessed with 8 children, Sandra (Rev. Henry) Wesenberg of Fostoria, MI; Rev. Scott (Cheri) Scheer of Gaylord; Rev. Steven (Cheryl) Scheer of Gaylord; Jolyn (Ron) Kempf of Fremont; Karen (William) Hutton of Muskegon; Pastor Kristen (Dr. Tim.) VanKoevering of Fremont; Elaine (Rev. Hello, I was so sad to hear of Lois's passing, also did'nt know about Rev. Scheer's passing in 2001. I'm sure they are peacefully in each others company now. What a beautiful picture you have of her here. I have'nt seen her in so long, her picture brought back fond memories of cleaning for her & Rev. Scheer, when they lived by the Church. Please accept my condolences to the whole family. Sincerely, Carol A. Perry (canuukmi@yahoo.com)
