Schmidt, Kenneth E.

 

Kenneth E. Schmidt, age 81, of Fremont passed away on Saturday, March 1, at Transitional Health Services in Fremont.  He was born on December 9, 1926, in Hinsdale, Illinois, to Elmer and Anna (Felbinger) Schmidt and was a Plasterer.  He married Jeanette Payne on August 6, 1949, in Illinois and was a member of the Local #5 Plasterer’s Union in Chicago.  Ken was an Army Veteran of WWII and member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fremont.    

 

Ken is survived by his wife, Jeanette of Fremont; daughters, Karen (John) Montney of White Cloud, and Diane (Tom) Perrin of McCook, Illinois; 3 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

 

Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fremont with visitation 2 hours prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be in White Cloud Cemetery.  For a more lasting memorial, friends are asked to consider Redeemer Lutheran Church.  Friends may share memories and condolences with the family at www.crandellfh.com.   Arrangements by Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont.
