Slater Family,
What a fantastic legacy. It is a sad say when we lose our patriarch.
The dash on his tombstone between the years of 1915 and 2009 is packed with memories.
The world is a better place because Joe F. Slater has journeyed through it.
God bless

Grampa Joe was a grampa to dozens of the neighborhood kids, including all of my brothers and my sister, as I passed this sad news to my siblings, each one remembered Grampa Joe with the big cigar and of course squirting us with the cows “squirtgun”. Grampa Joe’s contributions and dedication to community and
Family and friends will not be soon forgotten.

I am sorry to hear the loss of your father. I remember him from my milk hauling days. If he was out side working when I got to his farm, he would come over and talk to me, and that meant a lot. Again, to the Joe F. Slater family, you have my heart felt condolences.

Grace & All Your Family: Our deepest sympathy to each of you. Joe was such a great guy and so easy to talk to. It will never seem the same to not be seeing him just a few pews ahead of us at Mass. He will always be missed by so many and we can be thankful to have known him. May God's Promise bring each of you comfort in the days ahead. With Love and Prayers, Cookie & Ron
