My deepest and sincerest condolences on the loss of this fine and gentle Gentleman.  It was my great pleasure to have known Frank for many years as a friend and to have served with him on the monthly breakfasts at the UCC.  It always moved me to see Frank in uniform and in the Memorial Day parade every year.  May you, the family, be comforted by knowing how much Frank was loved by so many.

Your father was a great man!  I so enjoyed his intelligence, his wonderful sense of humor, and his kind and loving manner.  He will be missed.  Jill, I've lost track of you, but think of the great times in the high school library with you and Wendy!  Hope you're doing well.  My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time.

An artist was commissioned to paint a portrait of a marketing manager who always best exemplified Gerber....that painting would be of Frank Sondeen.  Frank's Gerber portrait would show many of his sterling qualities....dedication...wisdom...compassion...honesty...positiveness...loyalty...warm hearted...sound
judgement.

Frank was a man of great personal character...and the Gerber company was privileged to have had him as one of their marketing managers....and I was privileged to have worked along side him during some very challenging years.  He was an advertising manager extraordinaire.

Thanks to Frank....a group  of retired  Gerber colleagues were able to keep in touch with each other's lives....at the Wednesday OFC (aka  Old Fossil Comrades) luncheon meeting.   Frank was a regular in the best sense of that word....and he will be missed.   Frank was also a regular each Sunday at the Congregation church...and his dedication was notable.  We can be sure that our good Lord will greet him...".Well done....my good and faithful servant."

And to the family....may the emptiness in your hearts be filled with His perfect peace.

Be Blessed,

Bob & Bonnie Erber

Your Father and my "uncle Frank" will be missed.
I have so many fond memories from the early years "50's" Having him living just behind us.  He was such a great person and always welcomed us into his life.  He was a great part of our family also.
I was always so proud of him as a "VET" and loved to watch him march in all the parades.  I remember all the times he would cut my hair in your basement or out side in the garage or back yard.  I was truly sorry when we built the new house on 2nd lake and had to move from the "neighbor hood" .

Uncle Frank, inspired me to do something worthwhile in life and to keep the "FREMONT IDEALS" of caring about others and always giving back to your community is more important then just making money!
I also loved him for being my dads (BUD) best friend!  He was not the easiest person to get along with but your father and him had such a great relationship.  I remember all the Christmas gifts (pranks/junk) they gave each other! Like the time your dad gave BUD the rusted slot machine and BUD gave him the 12foot rusted barn door hinge.   They seem to be so happy together and I will always have those memories.
In the last few years I have been e-talking weekly or monthly with you dad on the Internet.  He kept me informed on what's going on with your and his lives.  I will miss his weekly emails.  But now he has joined your MOM, Florence and BUD and all the  other people  that have gone before him!
I am sure he is standing tall and marching in the PARADE OF HONOR in HEAVEN!
Sent with LOVE and RESPECT!
Howard "HOWDY" DAHLSTROM

Jeff, Jill, Jane, Peggy and family,

Please accept our deepest condolences for the loss of your father.  It seems like almost yesterday that Frank had provided guidance or revelation about some topic as we played in the back yard or in his workshop at 40 W. Pine.  Always full of wit and always there to lend a helping hand.  A great man forever remembered.

I've known your dad as long as when Jeff and I set up reconstructing the first sand box with our Tonka toys.  I'm truly saddened as I share some in your loss.

May your grief be shortened by all who loved him.

Dear Jeff, Jill, Jane and Peggy,

Brian and I send our deepest condolences to you.

The memories our family shared with Frank, your Mom and all of you for the last 60 plus years are among the very best, from the back yard cookouts and pool parties to the famous Kentucky Derby parties. I was especially thankful for the way he looked after my Mom for the last few years.

Love to you all.

Ah, remembering the “old” neighborhood and all those fine times we had, due mostly to our parents allowing us the freedom to grow.  Now, one by one, they join each other once again.  I also had the esteem pleasure of working with Frank at Gerber and everything that has been said about him can be repeated and repeated.  What a kind, upstanding man – a true loss to the community.

My sincere sympathy to the family.
