Holton

 

Jerry Trygstad, age 90, of Holton passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at Transitional Health Services in Fremont.  Jerry was born on May 1, 1919, in Fremont to John and Ada (Pikaart) Deters and married Ed Trygstad on August 3, 1968, at the Holton Lutheran Church.  She had worked at Gerber Products Co. in the food services and drove school bus for Holton Public Schools and for the Lutheran Church School.  Jerry was a devoted wife and mother, a member of the Holton American Legion Auxiliary, and member of the Holton Lutheran Church.

 

Jerrry is survived by her husband Ed of Holton; children, Kay (Tony) Johnson of Fremont, John (Judy) Campbell of Tequesta, FL., Kris Campbell of Holton, wife of David Campbell, Gary (Debbie) Trygstad of Holton, Richard (Kris) Trygstad of Twin Lake, Trudy Elsworth of Holton, Cindy (Lloyd) Cochran of Chicago, Patti (Bud) Skilling of Holton, and Julie Piotrowski of Whitehall; 42 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; several great great-grandchildren; brothers and sister, Arnold Deters, Ron Deters, and Joan Tans; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by children, David Campbell and Guy Trygstad; and brothers and sisters, Henry Deters, Wilheminia Rosemollen, Grace Schotanus, and Dan Deters.

 

Visitation will be on Sunday, June 28, from 5-8 pm at the Crandell Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday from the Holton Lutheran Church with interment in Oakwood Cemetery in Holton.
